After an 18 hour plane ride to New Delhi, Dave insisted that we get only 5 more hours of sleep at the hotel before shoving us on a last minute bus trip to see the country.  What's the rush?? I thought.

After driving through seas of cattle, seas of people and a chaos of weaving traffic, we eventually arrived at our tourist sites (another 4 hour drive).  Every place we travel, we take a photo on location.  Always in some acrobatic pose, either in “The Star” or “The Crunch” or “2-High.”   This time while in “The Crunch” pose, I (Zoë) had forgotten to take my travel bag off my body and was annoyed finding myself fussing to get it off while balancing precariously on Dave’s one hand.  Dave is indeed holding me over his head in one hand and I notice he to is struggling to retrieve something that won’t get out of his pocket with his free hand.
And there we have it folks. Dave proposed to me in an acrobatic position above his head at the Taj Mahal, the temple of love, towering above us in the distance… With ring on my finger, and a smile that never stops, off we were to explore one of the 7 wonders of the world on India's Independence Day holiday!                                                  ~ Zoë Klein

Bangalore had great shopping, beautiful parks, and lots of traffic.  The first night included a rooftop club with a performance line-up comprised of Indian performance couples, teams and competitions.

The main venue for workshops was huge, as well as the performance ballroom.  Besides the fact that Zoë was backstage minutes before performing, still picking up dozens of loose nails and screws used to build the stage, Edie Salsa Freak MC’ed a great show with a variety of Salsa performers from around the world:   Knzo from France, Swing Guys from Italy, Ricardo & Vivian from Colombia, Junior & Emily from San Francisco, Kaytee from India, and lots more...

The weather was hot, the food never bland, and the dance floor was as dangerous and tricky to navigate as it was to cross the street in India!

Lourd did an amazing job with an amazingly hospitable team of volunteers.  We can’t wait to be back again!
