To be honest, Madrid Simposium had the best collection of acrobatic Salsa we’ve ever seen! The skill level of dancing and technique was beyond our expectations, and a delight to be a part of.
Paradizo performed two routines, openning the Saturday night show with their circus piece “Purple Mist” then performing later with their America’s Got Talent hit “No Air.” And just for kicks, Dave and Marco (Italy) improvised an acrobatic salsa moment on sunday night, inspired by Orchestra Marin’s live band on stage.
Abacua’s evening lenght show on Sunday night was a great highlight. The first act was a more interpretive piece, while the second act was a high energy non-stop funky salsa group piece. It was a pleasure to speak with the company back stage after their show.
Our class was so skilled that we breezed through teaching a dip sequence, an LA style drop trick, and then ended with learning The Fish and Yo-Yo Sequence- all in Spanglish!

Dave wishes he could own a motor bike in nyc... Zoe won't let him live that dangerously. Acrobatics: Yes. Motorbike: No.
Our performing friends back stage

We love when we see students in Madrid when we last saw them in Hamburg.
If only we were in Madrid one more day, we could have seen Cirque Eloize new show!!!
We were present for the 100 year celebration of the creation of the main street in Madrid.
Our hotel! We loved dancing all night, then joining eveyone for the hotel's 6am buffet breakfast in the morning before siesta.
Of course we visit a circus school in Madrid near the hotel...
After we perform, we party!!
Students from Equador & Spain who loved our show!
La Riviera Night Club is the venue for all performances. After the show, Zoë was asked to dance non-stop! The kitchen sink was thrown in, and Zoë actually drilled a hole in her dance shoe by the end of the night!
