Switzerland Salsa Festival was such a treat. A very well organized congress, with huge audience size, huge classes, multiple DJ dance floors throughout the dance hall, food available for all artists and workshop attendees, delicious and fun communal dinner at a local restaurant and clear transportation to and from the hotel. Shows each night were spectacular!
The festival was Feb 26-28, 2010. Performing on stage at Salsa Festival Switzerland was the ultimate experience for Paradizo. The stage lighting was outstanding and the huge ceiling height (always a plus for Paradizo!) made all the difference for us to present an amazing rock solid show.
For the beginning dips & drops class, we taught “Drop Kick” and a choreographed “Dip Sequence.” There were over 60 people in our early morning classes, eager to learn, inspired by our shows the night before! Our Intermediate lifts class learned “The Fish” and the first part of what we call the “Yo-Yo” drop. Our classes in Switzerland, as always, were swept off their feet by Dave’s sense of humor and how Dave and Zoë make learning lifts and tricks safe, easy and so much fun!

We had only one morning for some tourism.
We climbed to the top of a local church in Old Zurich.

Students loved our classes!
Many beautiful views of the river & mountains all around...
The view of one of the towers at the top of the local cathedral. The light was so bright and crisp, not like in nyc. Beautiful! The stain glass windows are all renovated with the most colorful and modern artistic interpretations.
Dave in front of our hotel, the hotel Wellenberg in Old Zurich. Lots of quaint shops selling spices, puppets, artistic clothing, book stores, cafes and yet the occasional random strip club...(?)
