Dave & Zoë were very impressed with the US Swing Open Championships. The Classic Division and Showcase Division were inspiring to watch! So much variety in style and talent, and audience support was tremendous! It was unique to be at a dance event where both young adults and older adults have support and joint place to enjoy the same dance form.
Dave and Zoë had a blast hanging out with Cabaret dancers and swing event coordinators Barry Durand and Lisa Fay. Dave & Zoë were excited to share the Cabaret Division floor among friends.
The Cabaret competition this year consisted of 10 different acts including: flamenco, modern, salsa, waltz, acrobatics, Michael Jackson tribute, and hand dance. Ages as young as 6 to ?? How do you judge that?

The US Open Swing Dance Championships features top swing dance styles, such as West Coast Swing, Lindy Hop, Carolina Shag and Hand Dancing. Dancers come from all over the world to achieve the ultimate in Swing Dance Competition, a US OPEN title.
